As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be in a central position as you will be evangelizing data and our methodologies to other functional analysts and other stakeholders in the company. You will have close interaction with teams in marketing, sales, finance, and product. You will work in a high pace environment that is professional, international and entrepreneurial.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accessing data, constructing and manipulating large datasets to support planned analyses, using SQL, Python and similar tools
- Designing and developing BI dashboards using Sisense or similar tools (Tableau, PowerBI, DataStudio) for various organizational metrics and indicators using best practices and industry standards
- Conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design
- Define KPIs metrics and drive the data governance through standardisation and communication
- Extract data and share it with stakeholders using Dashboards/Reports or Google Sheets, mentor and review similar reports work of more junior members
- Create the documentation and presentation for the management
- Develop analysis and reporting capabilities; monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements
- Adapt at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Research and validation of entity data using appropriate internal and external data sources
- Validating entity reference data in a central account database
- Exceptional management reconciliation and reporting
- Analysis, specification, testing and implementation of interfaces, workflow solutions, and reference data solutions – An example would be regression testing systems ahead of upgrades
- Ownership of allocated work throughout its entire life cycle
- Develop new models to address business needs, as well as identify and implement improvements to existing solutions; projects are diverse and can take several forms (e.g. simulation, linear/non-linear optimization, prediction, machine learning)
- Participate in the design, implementation and interpretation of experiments/trials for continuous refinement of on-going strategies
- Responsible for data quality and timely delivery of reports that make common business sense
- Create and maintain documentation for analytics, tools, and processes to ensure effective transition to end user
- Prepare and deliver Data Analytics & Reporting trainings to evangelise data across the organisation
- Be able to work autonomously without supervision on complex projects
- Mentor junior team members, review and validate their output
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, business/economics or related field. Masters is a plus
- 3+ year work experience in analytics, having closely worked with product and commercials in an internet/e-commerce company
- Experience in e-commerce, internet and/or digital media
- Experience building, implementing and/or maintaining predictive models on very large datase
- Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Excel
- Skills in Python, R or similar tools are a big plus
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
- Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to translate data and information into actionable insights and business recommendations
- Written and verbal proficiency in English
